These are simple core values of The Upperground Community in order to provide a positive and safe place for progression  of Hip-hop for all ages. Instead of setting a bunch of rules, we're focused on being known by what we're for and not by what we're against, knowing we can't prevent peoples individual choices, but we can choose to promote the alternative.

+ Constructive Speech = Respecting each other verbally and not misusing the power of words like no profanity, gossip, and slander. Instead of just "tellin' it like it is," we should speak on how it could be. Not about censorship, but looking beyond the words to the person and expanding expression. (Eph 4:29)

+ Conscious/Health = Respecting yourself. Does not promote escapism by drug/alcohol/sexual abuse or habits (1 Cor 6:19-20, 1 Peter 4:7)

+ Civility = Respecting others. We do not align under any Political nor Monetary Agendas as our primary drive or disrespect authorities (1 Peter 2:17) Not demeaning to our sisters and brothers (Matt 7:12)

+ Contribution to the Next Generation = Responsiblity. Have teaching attitudes (1 peter 5)

If one has a big problem with these core values, this is probably not the community for you (because you probably wouldn't like it) and we respect your choice.

This place is meant to be an alternative to what's worldly/popular, so we know for sure there's no shortage of other outlets for the opposites of what we value. This is our best effort to keep things open as possible and accept people for who they are beyond stereotypes.
