There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations-these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit-immortal horrors or everlasting splendors. - CS Lewis "Weight of Glory"

You don't listen to your parent's music and chances are they didn't either. It's a fact that cultures change with time no matter the grip of traditions. But in our lifetimes, we value culture because we believe its bigger than us and will outlast us, but only perhaps for a few generations. Focus should be given back to the people's importance, not as a mass, but as valued individuals, eternally bound souls.

Value relationships before culture. "It goes deeper than religion." - Mr J. The Procussions

When you travel outside of America, you'll start to notice the unefficency of having no technology. But ask that society to change, most of the time they wouldn't because they value the pace of life where relationships can happen rather than being efficent in getting "STUFF" done. American society prides itself in being able to get the most done in the least amount of time, but because we have the ability to do so, we do so. What that means is, because we can, we tend to try to do everything. This is very apparent in the internet, and look what have we lost. Relationships through patience, location, and time. There's a popular saying people outside of America have about that, "Americans have watches, but we have the time."

Technology is not dirty word, but realize the focus should not be there. These things should only be as tools, that is what The Upperground website was designed as.
