Written by Audible

1. Not a business model, but community model - There is no intent (and never will be) on generating sales or bending to political agendas. It exists only to serve the local communities it consists of, which isn't determined by an outside force but by a living, breathing community that cares for its own and keeps its own in check. We also refuse to push one single organization over another, it's all up the people to use the tools given here to promote themselves as best as they can, hopefully by building reputation by true skills, heart, and hard work.

2. Freestyle - Content is based on collaborative user contributions. The site is maintained by pursuers of the art form who live the culture and progress it, and is therefore flexible allowing users can dictate what features are needed and wanted.

3. Niche (Southern Californian, Progressive, Soul Conscious, and Positive Hip Hop Culture) yet still appreciating and encouraging diversity within. With a focused community more can be done more efficiently and more importantly, effectively.

4. Open - Although we are focused, we are not exclusive. Anyone can join, the only people moderating are merely volunteers (mentors) who are committed to participation and being responsible for the health and well being of the community. ANYONE can be staff with this commitment which is all within ability. The community is also not restricted to the internet, but exists outside as well in events we call Hip Hop Sessions.

5. Civil - It's all about trying for peace by addressing the spiritual health of the culture. We also focus on what's safe for children and adults alike by warning about content and promoting wisdom and understanding. There's a difference between censorship and being civil and courteous to others. (speaking only to build)
