Homeland has been known for its Tuesday night bboy/bgirl practice sessions and also for its Monday night popping/locking practice sessions. During these weekly sessions, many dancers of all ages and locations come together to share their knowledge and skills on the dance floor.

The Homeland Cultural Center was established in 1989 with a mission to provide a safe place to cultivate, present, and preserve the cultures of residents through the performing and visual arts, and to celebrate the Anaheim (Street) Corridor’s dramatic ethnic diversity by encouraging artistic expression in various cultural traditions. With the help of Ice Man, Steam, Waveomatic and Dixie, Homeland has become a place to share the Hip Hop culture to its fullest.

• HOMELAND POPPERS, LOCKERS & BREAKERS/BBOYS Monday/Tuesday, 7-10pm All ages open practice for Popping and Locking on Mondays and B-Boy breaking Tuesdays, with Live DJ. Beginner class from 7-8pm.
• HOMELAND FOUNDATION KRUMP DANCE Monday/Wednesday, 3-6pm All ages open practice for Krump dancers and Homeland’s Award Winning Krump Time Crew (formerly Millennium Krump Time).

• HIP HOP DANCE Monday, 7-9pm
  Tuesday, 3-6pm, 5-Adult. Hip Hop Dance in collaboration with Culture Shock LA.
• DJ/EMCEE WORKSHOP Tuesday, by appointment, Teen-Adult. Learn to spin the turntables, mix and scratch as a musical form. One-on-one training by appointment.
• ALL CITY CHOIR Tuesday, 5-7pm Choral group beginner to advanced, 10-Adult.

• POETRY OPEN MIC NIGHT Wednesday, 8-10pm Open mic poetry, readings, rap and performance for teens and adults.
• CAMBODIAN ARTS Wednesday, 7-9pm All ages classes in traditional Cambodian arts.
• STREET THEATRE WORKSHOP Thursdays, 7-9pm Homeland Theatre Company (Advanced) Teen and Adult only.

• BALLET FOLKLORICO DANCE Thursday/Friday, 5-7pm All ages classes in traditional Mexican dances in collaboration with Maria Ballet Folkloric.
• SALSA DANCE Thursday, 7-9pm, Teen-Adult. Learn Latin dances of the Caribbean.
• WEST AFRIKAN DANCE AND DRUM Friday, 7-10pm
  Saturday, 10am-4pm African Cultural Center presents workshops for all ages in collaboration with the Afrikaans Cultural Center of Long Beach.

• MUSICIANS JAM Saturday, 4-6pm Inter-generational musical jam. Bring your own instruments or come with just your hands and voice.
• HMONG TRADITIONAL GHEEJ AND DANCE Sunday, 9am-3pm Traditions of the Hmong in collaboration with the Hmong Association of Long Beach.
• CHAMMORO ARTS OF GUAM Sunday, 9am-3pm Traditions of the Micronesian Islands in collaboration with the Kutturan Chumoro Association.
