The most soulful energetic Hip Hop I've heard in a while. A good balance between pushing the boundaries of known Hip Hop yet intergreting Soul/Jazz rooted vibes with a haunting bass on every track that will make sure you feel the music if not their message of grace & guidance. These guys are blessed to be a blessing, hopefully with this new label they'll get heard. If you find you like this, I recommend checking out Longevity Crew's Everything Builds which tries to do the same beautifully.

A lot of the same mixed with very tight singles with Ohmega's production. If it wasn't so mixed up between their old formulas and more progressive sounds, this album would have been a solid. Buy the singles unless you're a fan, then its a worthy buy for the album.

It's been a long time coming, Last Emp is no longer faceless with his new LP. Having been a fan of all the singles here and there from this seemingly invisible rapper, I gotta say it wasn't what I expected besides what I've already heard. Last Emp plays a balancing act a rugged dirty and harsh East Coast rap and nerdy Hip Hop fairy tales. A weird combination, I guess adding to more questions on who he is. Rhymes are still his strength using all kinds of wordplay, but really, when it comes down to it what's the purpose?

Phonte as a rapper doesn't add much the beautiful cooled out beats by Nicolay, that's why I recommend buying the instrumental version of the album, out also, definite 5 star. All tracks with R&B otherwise, are the sole reason to pick up this. Makes me want to visit the Netherlands and see the inspiration that creates such tracks.
